I’ve been in the creative industry for 30 years, which either makes me very experienced or very old, depending on who you ask.
I started out at Auckland agency 2020, cutting my teeth across the wine and fashion industries, before a stint lecturing at art school. I then headed overseas to the Channel Islands, where I served as Creative Director for a local advertising agency, leading creative work across banking, finance and tourism (with a fair amount of fun squeezed in between).
I came back to New Zealand and founded The Caretakers in 2010, a creative brand and web studio based in Howick, Auckland. Day to day I lead new business, steer the creative direction of the team, and still find time to get my hands dirty on the work itself.
Honestly though, my favourite part of the job is the people. Building relationships, earning trust, and doing great work together, that’s what gets me out of bed.
